The Story

I was introduced to Creedence Clearwater Revival as a teenager. Chronicle: Volume 1 was a CD that I wore out over the span of two summers. John Fogerty’s classic tunes are perfect for guitarists. These backing tracks represent my inspiration from the original arrangements.

This version of “Tombstone Shadow” features the drums and bass grooving in the back. The organ is panned left and the rhythm guitar is panned right. The rhythm guitar has a great rotary speaker sound on it.

I consider a jam track to be just that, a track to jam over. They are usually extended in length with original arrangements. I produce them to practice technique, chops, or improvisation. I consider backing tracks to be covers of fully arranged songs to which you can add the lead parts, either vocal or instrumental. This is a backing track.
